Well once again there is not near the photo options to post a full account of the hunt with a mere 6 little puny photos, so here's the thumb nail shots.

It was a really nice day, mostly sunny and a bit on the hot side. Swinging the little shooter coil I soon retrieved this small revolver trigger frame and front strap. Much too heavy to be a toy gun , a little bushing turned up a serial number. Yep, its the real MaCoy.

The cows all decided to pay me a visit while I was detecting on the hilltop. I took this picture while retrieving a target out of the hole. If I got down low, the cows would come really close. One even bumped my head with his nose. When I stood up, they would back off a couple steps. About this time, I had a pouch full of ax head and stove parts that were really weighing me down, so I decided to take them over and dump them in the stump hole. I left the shovel sticking in the ground with the cows all around it, and walked the 50 yards to the stump and back. OK, here's what I learned.... Never leave your shovel sticking in the ground by a bunch of cows. They really go for the salt on the handle. When I got back, thick green slime covered the handle and was running down the shovel. "OH ICK, THANK YOU SO MUCH!" That's exactly what I said to them. It took a couple minutes of rubbing the handle on the grass to get the main bulk off, and then finished up by rubbing it on my shirt tail.

Soon after, I got another good signal. When I first saw it I thought it was a button front missing the back, but turned out to be another press pin with a lady's face on it. OK, cool.

Found 2 bullets, both had been fired.

Got a nice green Yankee knapsack hook.

Towards the end of the hunt I also got 2 eagle cuff buttons in good shape, and a convexed civilian button with a little ornation on it. Also got 2 percussion caps, an assortment of buckles and snaps, and added a lot of iron and other whatnots to my pile by the tree trunk.
