:csflag: Sterling Price's Raid

I have been poking around Sterling Price's encampments most of my life with varied results so I was excited to hear one of my latest potential sites in soybeans had been combined. The area had just received heavy rains but undeterred I set out into the wet fields. I knew I had my work cut put for me, because when I asked for permission I got the standard answer, "it has already been detected for years" followed by "they quite coming here 3 years ago" although I didn't find any coins, "they" left plenty for my liking.
My favorite has to be the little 36 caliber tear drop Remington's from the Saint Louis arsenal. Hardly any of the calibers were the same, which is typical as these confederates weren't properly outfitted.
My 800 did me proud :detecting:

Not sure if they are period or not it had a pin mount like a broach and is brass with enamel so maybe. From what I have read they like to party so definitely yes:beers:

Thanks Bryan, maybe our paths will cross someday., I went to school at Taos and Wardsville, do those ring a bell?

You were a Falcon??! I was a Pinto. We're practically neighbors.

North, south, east and west. The 1864 campaign was all over. Even had a skirmish in my home town. I'm sure we have probably hit the same sites before.
