:csflag: Infields and A buttons ~ Oh My....

Mountain Man and I got out for some digging today along Lee's retreat route. We got permission for a little field alongside the road, turned out to be pretty good. I dug this Confederate artillery button.

Greg and I both started digging Infields in the area. I'm not talking about pristine Yankee bullets in a tutu, I'm talking about mean, gnarly Confederate bullets Greg got a trigger guard, then he found the trigger mechanism and a few feet away from that a nice brass butt plate. He searched long and hard for the side-lock and end cap... maybe next time.

Here's our finds together. I got 21 bullets and the Confederate artillery button. I gave 2 bullets to the landowner. Greg got the gun parts and his bullets are on the right. He also gave a couple bullets to the landowner who was very appreciative, although not as much as we were. Picture below is my digs cleaned up. Thanks for looking.
