:csflag:how do you clean up your finds?

Good question and one I'd like to know too... I've been just using an old toothbrush for the last few weeks and dishwashing liquid to scrub away all the dirt but then I realized it was my wife's toothbrush so I quietly put it back...

If you're talking about clad, get a tumbler and tumble away. I use Magic Tumble Clean by Finch Products in the barrel, does a better job than any of the home brew concoctions. They come out just like new again. Lortone makes the best tumbler but you can get by with one of the Harbor Freight ones, just get plenty of extra belts, eats 'em up like there's no tomorrow!!

Hopefully you were really quiet!

I guess it depends on what your cleaning. With relics I use warm water and dish soap . Old Copper coins i soak in extra virgin olive oil if needed. Silver and Gold rinse and wipe. I don't clean clad. With cast iron, wash and dry off spray with Extend.

I use a Harbor Frieght tumbler. I've had it over a year and still using the same belt.
Some people have problems with the belt breaking but that's not been the case with mine.
