We arrived at the first relic field about the same time the rain did. It drizzled off and on a couple times and I was having to constantly wipe the rain off my screen. I thought we were going to have to head to the truck but then it would ease up. I was digging a couple Richmond Labs Sharps, Mini balls and 44's. Greg was collecting a few Civil War bullets himself. After a couple hours and a handful of bullets each, we headed to another field. By this time the rain had stopped and was actually trying to clear up a bit. This is the field where I got the scarce Confederate LeMat revolver bullets the other day. I told Greg about where I got the bullets; he pretty much walked across the field, swung a couple times, and dug his first LeMat bullet in 30 years of digging... yeah, I couldn't believe it either. Anyway, Greg ended up with 5 LeMats out of one small spot. Not too shabby of a day.
