:csflag: A day (3) for the Cross's...

Took a detecting trip with Mountain Man yesterday. Two of my daughters wanted to go and try their hand at metal detecting for Civil War relics. So it was Mountain Man, Me, Dave, Sarah and Leanna. This post will just be about the girls and my finds, because there were some neat firsts.

Sarah (12) made her first Civil War relic find and she made it a good one. A Yankee eagle button. She had only been relic hunting approx. 12 minutes.

This is a closeup shot of Sarah's eagle button fresh out of the ground... great save, Sarah!

Even Dad (me) squeaked out a first with a Yankee infantry button with an "I" in the shield.

Leanna scores with her first bullet. She kept detecting and saying "I want to find a white bullet." She became as obsessed as Ahab in search of the white whale. Congratulations Lee!

This is our combined finds for the day, I will post Dave's finds tomorrow, plus a post of our relic hunt today.
