Today I got on the forum to see what everyone was diggin due to all the rain over this way..Well I couldn't take it no more so I thought I would hunt the back yard again and dig some of those iffies up. TONS of trash but I did get one keeper and boy what a keeper.

As I've said before, this used to have a CW hospital on it and I'm for ever more finding something but I never thought this would come out. Took several hours and alot of trips to the trash can LOL

I looked it up and it's a Confederate Officers button. On the back it has HT&B over Manchester. ID # was CS36A1. These are two of the sites I was able to pull it up on.

Yesssiirrrreeee!!!!!! That is a great find and one that I would lose a tooth to get!! And in your backyard to boot:surprised:

I'm trying to get some of the pictures of this place while the old house still stood. The man who grew up in it said he had some photo's and said he would try to find them for me. would be great to have some copies for my collection.

I own 7 ac. that include the old home site and the home near me was part of the land connected to it. They do not go diggin and said I could hunt thier property as well. lord knows what is under the ground around here...to beat it all I took a dozer to the back lot when I first moved here to move out some trees and flatten out the area for pond....wander what i covered up. this was before i found out about the history of the place.

go figure

AWESOME!!!!
