crusty V nickel, how should I clean it? thanks all!!

Just read a post a couple of days ago about cleaning nickels with vinegar. Was written by one of your MT brothers, I believe.

Use the forum search for "Cleaning Nickels" and see what you get. I haven't tried it yet, but I did buy a gallon of the vinegar.

P.S. The author talked about soaking the nickel, first one side then the other. I was thinking if you used a small bowl or dish that had an indentation in the bottom, the coin could be leaned so that the vinegar could work both sides at once. His turned out very nice by the way.
