Crusty beach coins

SurfNerd

New member
Some crusty beach coins. Found at low tide in wet sand 6-18 inches down on a sparsely populated beach. Spiraling out from a quarter target, then lining up within 5 feet of surf line. Looks like these guys traveled into a little pocket about 40 ft. long. Not sure how long they were there or how long they bounced around in the surf. HH

Hard to say how long the coins have been there. The dates may offer a clue. Nice to find those pockets isn't it? HH!

Nice find with the pocket. Hopefully the next pocket will have some gold.

I actually went back to that spot and was able to pull even more targets than the first time. The dates range from a 1944 nickel, no 50's, but every other decade including several 2009's. I'll be keeping an eye on it to see if there is a clear pattern. Not sure if that is a spot that is somehow attracting items or if it is just a spot where targets were accumulating in the ocean and somehow are getting washed ashore. It would be nice if it were a honey hole that keeps replenishing itself. It seems like there are some in this forum who have found such a spot.

Nice loot !!
