Hmmm... bummer about the crosstalk issue I have with other 'Hawkeye's & Cortes'... but there IS an upside.
While dodging a bunch of Cortes users the other week, I went off to another part of the field and found THIS! It's a Celtic gold stater and is about 2000 years old. My best find in 11 years of detecting. THANKS TESORO! <img src="/metal/html/wink.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=";)"> </STRONG>
 
It says 'TASCIO RICON'. Tasciovanus is the Celtic King to which this coin relates.
 
That is an awesome find! It almost matches up to that wheat penny I found the other day <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol">

Cheers Alan <img src="/metal/html/wink.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=";)"> It's my first gold ANYTHING, so I couldn't have wished for a better find. It was covered in dirt when I dug it out, and I thought it was a button... cleaned some of the dirt off and then thought it was a guilded button... turned it over and cleaned some more dirt off... I couldn't believe it when I saw the little horse appear through the dirt! I'm going to have to 'go some' to top that! <img src="/metal/html/shocked.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":shock">
