Crosshairs an invaluable tool..

Not a screen watcher myself and hunt by audio but once a target is located. The movement and the position of the crosshairs will tell you just about what you are going to dig...
 
Of course experimentation in the field is where its at and junk near a target can be a problem but hers a little help.
