thirdbornau

New member
Hi this is thirdbornau (Maureen from Australia) can anyone please tell me what it means when the crosshair goes beserk all over the screen and doesn't want to settle at all. We went to the park and the minute i opened the detector it started.

Do we have any prospectors from Perth in this forum? my detector is
explorer 11. Any help welcome.

Regards Maureen from Ozz.

AND did you hit Noise cancel immediately after turning the detector on before you did anything else?

Take care!

:stars::stars:Hell`o Maureen From OZZ.I think I would try a computer reset, as i bet you have a lot of program time with out , doing a reset.

Hi Doc,
I really can't remember what sensitivity i had it set at as it was days ago now, do you have any recommendation setting for the park.

Regards Maureen..

:surprised:Hi Maureen, Open the batteries door, with the unit off,on the batteries holder there is a yellow/tab,battery keep, you must be able to remove the batteries as you turn the unit ON,as soon as you have power remove the batteries, for 5, seconds then replace. This cases the brain in the EXp to serge, and when you return the power, the Exp will open in the factory quick start.PS,don't be afraid to do this more than once,as it will not harm the unit. IICH more Ill be around.

Hi Cliffbuster thanks for that info, Just one question isn't it the same when i turn off the detector, then on again and hold down the "on" button until it goes back to factory reset.

Regards Maureen from Ozz.

Hi Maureen. No it will not be the same . the way I told you will work and this way causes the Computer to reset, the other way, that you stated only causes Factory Start up, and the one I am stating causes the computer to reset. It will work for you . I will say also to return to DOC`s post as this will play a part. just post again if I can help, and by the way get the book Mastering the Mine lab Explorer it will help a lot.
