Crosshair question.............

I noticed that somtimes while detecting at the beach I would hit a target and I would look at the screen and see the square all the way to the right, but only half of the square. Is there a reason that its only half a square and not a full square?

The cross hairs are just that, the center of the box is where they cross. Your target is inductive and conductive enough to drive the cross point completely to the upper right hand of the display. Perfectly normal, nothing wrong with you unit.
You should always check out those signals.
