Crossfire 11

The Crossfire II is a Garrett coil, not a detector. The name should be up on the control housing..ie: GTAx 550, GTAx 1250....then we can tell you something about it.

Crossfires were the round concentric coils most Garrett detectors were equipped with a few years back before they came out with the current elliptical PROormance coils.

The Treasure Ace series was not Garretts greatest machines ever, but they will find you some loot if you're patient. I bought TA 300 and found it to be lacking in the depth department, but down to about 4", it did just fine. It's a slow sweep machine so take your time with your swings. If you're just starting out, it's a serviceable starter machine, but if you decide you like detecting, the Ace 250 is a much superior machine to the old TA 300. You should be able to sell it and cover most of the $200 cost of a 250.
