Friend of mine found this
in an area where they were pulling up stuff from the 20's
Either this thing is in real good shape, or it's not that old???:help:

Those would have to be WW2 or Korean vintage. M1 Garands were service issues in both wars and that is what the two rifles look like...
1941-1959 or so.
 
That is the lower part to a U.S. Marine Corps Rifle Expert Badge. The same badge is still in use to this day.
