A man at the University of Arkansas has identified Royal's shed wall Whatsit as a Coccinellidae (pronunced: cock-si-NEL-li-dee) hiding under exuvia. Translation: A member of the family of ladybird beetles hiding under a slouged off natural animal covering (such as a snake skin)
??? WHATEVER !!!
Not sure I can see that as being so. You found a real stumper here!! Did you ever witness further growth or action of this thing, Royal?
You could email him directly with further questions, I assume. Max Meisch: meisch@uark.edu
