Crazy year just got crazier

Took an hour Tuesday night and went to a local park just three blocks from home. This park has been around since the 1920's and has been hunted a lot by me and others but I thought I would try an open area away from the main park. Never really hunted that part much although a few weeks ago I found a 1940's military button. Came across some recent pennies (1970's) and figured OK maybe this is all fill dirt from nearby road reconfigurations that occurred about a decade ago. With about 10 swings to go before I called it a day I got a strong 90-92 at 5" and pulled out a 1941 Walker Half. I am amazed this hasn't been found over the years. This is my third silver half of the year versus just one silver quarter. A few more steps away and I got the same type of signal. I thought no way! But it was just an O"Reilly auto spark plug gap tester. Great but crazy year. Pics soon.
