According to the coin prices magazine this Barber half in worst shape is $240.00 I think its VG
All I can say is it was sure fun to find and you should have seen the look on my face when pulled it out. Found about 2 feet from the sidewalk in the worst part of town at an old park. Let me know what you think its worth. S mint mark.
Thanks!
Dave

Sweet! It looks great! Don't you think you should leave some silver for other hunters? Na...... Just don't come to Missouri please....

Awesome barber half congrats! Hard to see the exact condition from the pic but I'd say a $300 - $400 coin probably ...

A huge congrats on finding the Barber Half !

Here's the link to a web site that's let's you grade your coins by matching them up to photo's >>> http://www.pcgs.com/Photograde/

Excellent find and congratulations! It is double exciting when you find an old coin that is rare as well. (Even better when you don't scratch it during recovery.) Good job.

I would agree you are in the VG range. The obverse appears to me to be fine but hard to tell from picture how much detail remains, but the reverse is closer to G, so overall I think VG is about right.

Thanks to E-TRAC-Ohio for the link. I did not know PCGS had that on-line and I always end up browsing my grading books to try and nail it down. I now have that link saved.

Congratulations on a superb find! Beautiful looking coin! Thanks for the pictures.
