Coons out in the daytime? We never see them in daylight here and if we do we worry about rabies!
 
if they are a problem I just live trap them and haul them to the nature center, as I do the skunks, squirrels and chipmunks when they get to be a problem. My can will do the chipmunks if he ever figures out how. They are just playing with him now :D I took a vid of a skunk out there last week and the dang cat got out from me with that one too. I screeched like a girlieboy at that dang cat that time for sure but she didn't really see the skunk, just ran out on the deck as the skunk waddled off.
 
With a little patience, you could probably teach it to sit beside you in the pickup truck. If you have any coyotes in the area, best keep your furry buddy in the house at night because cats are a favorite food of coyotes. Kelley (Texas) :)
