Couple of water hunting questions

Neil

Well-known member
I use the Sea Soft water boots, are there any others that might be a bit easier to get on and off. Actually its the getting off part Id like to make easier, once wet the suction on getting them off is pretty strong. any other designs that have improved on this?

Second question is what kind of adhesive is good for a foam grip to keep it from moving around once underwater for awhile?(handgrip on a rod)

I replaced the foam grip on my AT Pro with a bicycle handlebar grip. I used Gorilla Glue to hold it in place. I use the Seasoft boots too. My problem is I bought ones with a zipper. After they are wet and I want to walk off the beach the zipper gets packed with sand. Mine also make fart sounds when I walk. I put liners in since the last time. I hope this solves the problem. Oh one more thing. The zippers suck with a PI unit. I detected my own boots a lot the first day I wore them.

A visit to the local dive shop resulted in my buying a knee high pair of neoprene dive boots that are great!!

I got tired of gravel in my wading shoes causing leaks in my dry-suit and stocking footed waders.

Pricey at over $60.00, but well worth the money!!

I'll see if I can get purchase info and post it!!

Try a pair of Lycra scuba socks or neoprene ankle socks.

The Gorilla glue is a good idea, I will give that a try.

The boot liners are a great idea.........these forums are great!

Thanks to all!
