Couple of nice beach finds

Oops posted this in the Exp classroom, my bad. Ive not been finding much with the Xcal in the water in the past week. Had a couple of high waves days so i grabbed the SE and decided to hit an out of the way beach. I started picking up some clad, ended with about $3, so this looked like a place that hadnt been hit. Kind of surprising since most of the beach right now have people with detectors clawling all over them. I picked up a couple of very nice silver rings.... on was Tiffany, the other appears to have a Western look... maybe AZ. The SE ran smooth and quiet on this beach and you could swing fairly fast since there were very few targets and not a lot of iron except for an occasional tent peg. I can tell you the SE does NOT like a large SS scoop anywhere near it. I was carrying it waist level with the scoop behind me and it would still give an occasional beep. So i put it on my shoulder and that solved the problem. Normally i just drag it and grid off a beach, but this was a large area and i did a helter schelter zig zag. I got both of the rings at the wet/dry high tide line. Not much elce on the beach.... but finding these two ill likely hit the water with the Xcal when the water is calmer.

silver is nice i have been running on silver for a while

These were closer to the wet sand than dry. There are some great finds on the dry sand i just normally do seem to find the lol. It just seems to be a lot more swinging.

I might as well post the other finds for the week. I originally posted these for the Explorer people since these were found with the SE but they kicked me out i think lol. Anyway here is the rest of the weeks finds with the Xcal.

Thanks and yes size 10 14K. The one at the top is tigger - its marked Disney Lenox. I knew Lenox made pottery wasnt aware of them being in jewelry.

nice finds dew!! i found the exact same tiffany ring a while back, its worth about $75.00- $100.00 if you want to try and sell it.

Dew, The beach I hunt has a strong wave action most times of the year. The beach is about 1 block long, if I have not been there for a while I first walk along the high tide line and invariably pick up one if not two of the lighter rings that have been thrown up to the high tide line. I then work the areas of heavy sand ( no foot prints in sand when walking on it ), after that I start a grid pattern on the beach depending on when low tide is and time available.

Your finds are welcome here Dew, looks like you are keep pretty busy down in the sunshine state.

Thanks for the great info Gerry. I normally start a zig zag pattern hoping to find a trash line in the wet sand and yep i always hit the high tide mark since like you said light targets like silver rings and earrings tend to end up there. I like to grid as well... time consuming but if you are on some targets its well worth hitting it hard.

Larry thanks. I get my honey dew chores but this is just fantastic weather. Bought myself a jeep wrangler and liven the high life. Im out at the beach most days now Larry. I still havent slowed down long enough to do some slow driven along the coast or research to find some of those out of the way potential spots. Have to admit i miss field hunting but what ive found is you get to meet a lot more of the hunters in your area which i enjoy. My wife is a lot more impressed with a diamond ring that i bring home than a seated half.... go figure.

By dang your just killin us! Its snowing and blowing and heading to zero tonight! Still, it sure is good to see somebody reveling in the sand, and sharing the day with us!
We are wondering where we can hunt tomorrow if at all, and you are wondering if you'll need to wear sunblock!:clapping:

Great job Dew....check around on that Disney find...some disney stuff commands a price. Also that Tiffany will sell nicely. Holler at me when this weather passes and we'll go chase it down one day!

Mudpuppy ive been here since July and there has only been 2 gloomy days where it was raining and cloudy. Otherwise it may rain.... but then the sun comes out. This has been an unbelievable winter ive worn long pants 3 times and that was doing work in the yard. Otherwise i feel like Jimmy Buffet down here. Life has been exceptionally good to me. Its a thrill to dig a gold ring, but living in the sun..... priceless.

Great finds and it sounds like you are having fun for sure! You must be in shape to swing the Excal more than a couple hunts in a week.

I have to disagree with Brice on moving your post. To me the detector-brand forum is the place to post if you are using that detector (and that is where you want to post). It also gets me that we seemingly don't have much say in it anymore. Maybe you would want to share these finds with both the beach and explorer forums. Why not? Brice does a great job and keeps the Explorer forum tidy. I appreciate that, but I still think it is somewhat over moderated. I vote for posting on the Brand-Forum first then on the Place-Forum next or whatever. Hey, there is a civil-war forum now - do I have to scan my CW buttons separately and post them there? I think this is a mistake and someone should admit to it.
