Couple of goodies from Va. beach...

I went to Va. beach last week just after the hurricane passed through and although finds were few and far between, I did manage to score my first gold with the Sovereign and also got a silver ring.
The gold ring is 10 karat and has three small chips in it.
Other finds include some foreign coins, a token, and about $13 worth in clad.
I seems like the hurricane cleaned the junk off of the beach or either buried it very deep as the signals were very scarce to the point at times I waved my scoop over the coil to make sure it was still working.
Thanks for looking,
Felix

Bet the locals did think you were a pirate lol. You grabbed a couple of nice ones.

nice finds....i have found foriengn coins ther too....usually russian......i only get to go there once a year.....congrats on the gold....

Nice first GOLD Felix! I am still waiting for my turn at a gold ring. That happened to me the other day: I was scanning a field and I started to think to myself, "self, is this machine running properly?" It was so quiet with no signals, no nulls, no nothin' So I waved my digger over the coil and it nulled out. I then knew it was just a quiet area I was in. - Jim

Nice find Felix, I was in a slump for the past couple weeks (no silver let alone gold), but today the GT broke the spell with a 59 rosie and a couple wheats. Once again the search was difficult as the parks dept has cut back by infrequent mowing and setting the blades so high they can skip over an aluminum can. Although can slaw isn't a problem, getting the extra inches of depth is....ugh
