Couple hours this morning at a local lake...

My favorite lake to hunt - quiet in the morning, lots of swimmers with "bling" on during hot days, crystal clear water and nice sand to dig in.

It seems like it's being hit pretty consistently and hard by a few locals this year compared with last, but there's still always something there.

Today was a 14K band, 14K pendant with a name I still can't decipher, a 10K hoop type earring and couple junk items

Right before I left I got a weak signal and also dug a buffalo nickel (date worn smooth unfortunately).

It's crazy - it gets hunted year after year by folks with various detectors and yet still gives up old coins now and then - makes it hard to leave cause you just KNOW there's more there :)

You did so well on your pre-vacation hunt there, I figured you'd do pretty well!!

I'm sure we'll run into one another a time or two more before summer's over!

Great loot Cubfan, That lake has been good to you. Post a pic. of it if it doesn't give the location away. I know some Pirates like to keep there Honey hole secret. I love finding the old coins when you least expect it. HH.

I think I can take some pictures that won't give it away except perhaps to people who've already hunted there.

I know it's hunted regularly by others, so it's not really a honey hole - it's just one of those places that's a pleasure to hunt :)

CF,

Good job I busted my B---s scooping Sun. W a friend and got totally skunked, Old Old beach and nothing but trash, On the way out my bud eyeballed an old gold ring sticking out of the sand.
