I understand what you're saying. You should see some of the looks I get and some of the comments that I get from people who see me out there. They probably think I am absolutely crazy, loony tune, off my rocker. But it is an addiction that I have been scratching for 28 years. I love it ! There are probably a very small percentage of detectorists who shallow water hunt in fresh water lakes in cold, wintry weather. But they know why I am out there.
