Couple Colonial Find Favorites....

I was taking pictures today for another magazine article I'm working on & thought I'd share 2 of the items here.
Some have probably seen this 1717 Spanish Cross 2 reales "pistareen" before. It was in the Fisher catalog, but the photo I always posted was a poor/ small scan...
This one does it more justice. The details are crisp It was found with a 1270....

The second item is a 1700's coat button. Big deal right? Well this one has some real character. It was made into a "wizzer" or "buzzer" toy....kid put a string through it & twirled it around.
Far cry from X-Box360 huh?

You can even see that the edges were carved out some too.....
This is the same size/style as Geo. Washington Inaugural buttons...
Now THAT would have been some REAL character! :O

all the kids had to have I played the Madden football & the graphics are pretty amazing. Blows away my old Playstation games
