Counterfeit King George III Copper

I found this last week using my Ace 250. It must have been at least 10 inches deep! I am not 100% sure on the ID, but due to it's size and weight it appears to be a counterfeit KGIII Copper! Back in the 18th century counterfeit coins circulated widely in the colonies. Some are worth more than the genuine coins today!

The site has been hunted out (by me and others) over many years, so I was surprised to pull this baby out!
 
i was trying to squash that dang bug running around on my monitor screen lol. i thought it had somehow got underneath the screen :throw:
