Lightning strikes twice!!
My detecting partner and I hit a park yesterday. They had pulled the duff out of a walking trail they were installing and had started to grade it.
It was tuff hunting between tractors, water trucks and pull tabs, but we managed to pull a few goodies.
I couldn't believe when I pulled out a plug and saw the wreath on the back of the dime.
I thought Oh Boy I got a Barber to go with that nice Seated Dime I got a week ago.
I called Greg over while I was doing the happy dance.
The dime was still stuck to the dirt I dug it in and I hadn't turned it over.
Well, when I did and brushed it off

You should be dancing for sure. What super duper finds! Boy do I have a big smile on my face for you. Congratulations on your first Indian too. You've got some darn pretty coins there. :clapping: Thanks for posting your finds and sharing them with us. HH, Nancy

Thanks Nancy

Hey congratulations you made some great finds I hope you find a bunch more.
You never know what's under the soil yes it might be a modern park not very old but over 100 years ago it could have been an old homestead or something with several houses on it or maybe an old gathering place for familys get togethers so hey what ever it was sounds like you hit a hot spot for sure pound that area hard and keep us posted.

Congrats on a bunch of nice finds the dime and Indian are great ,. I would be dancing also if I found something that old hardly ever do around here . Good Job

Hey HuntinDog, A Big CONGRATS... I can't wait until I find a seated or an Indian or for that matter anything earlier than 1900. I know it will happen and when it does, everyone within a few hundred feet will know when I do the happy dance... HH Jack

Nice work HuntinDog. I'm still lookimg for my first IH so those VDI's you say you were getting on it are very interesting. How's your soil and how deep was the IH penny ? I'm hitting a spot today that has been producing a lot of old coins and relics. Looks like I'll be digging some lower #'s today in search of my first injun.
