Hi to all my fellow metal detectorist,
I am posting this note to see if anyone is interested in helping my son. He was just recently married last July. He phoned to tell my wife and I that he had just lost <img src="/metal/html/cry.gif" border=0 width=40 height=15 alt=":cry"> his wedding ring. He was a little overweight, lost some pounds, and then decided to plant some trees in the backyard. After his Arbor day, no ring. He is not worried about the money loss, but rather the sentimental value. We all know that can't be replaced. In any event if anyone would be interested in helping him find his ring, he lives in Humble Texas. Why isn't the old man helping him? Cuz I live in Omaha NE. I may yet have to go down, but thought, what the heck, this is a pretty good idea. I have some anxious thoughts about asking total strangers to see my son. As I told him, if I knew for sure that a detectorist would respond, no sweat, but some dingbat looking for trouble, that is something else again. I would be willing to give a $50 dollar bill as a small finders fee.
If anyone out there would have any other thoughts or ideas, they would be welcome.
Thanks
Lar
