Could be real...could be fake...

Hey Everyone! I went out today for a little and managed to find a spot that was giving up some targets. I found two encrusted silver rings and three "possible" golden items. None of them are stamped, which is as good as a "No" in my book until I can have them tested. I am pretty sure the diamonds are Nitro's but, the band might be gold. Usually I have a good eye for what is and what isn't but, I have been fooled enough to reserve judgement until I can get some acid on them. Everything I dug today was very old and showed signs of having been in the water for some time (IE I had to clean them up) and they show some traces of dingy-ness. Either way it was a fun day, so I thought I would share!

Nice finds hopefully some wiil be the real bling.

Well Joe my engagement ring luck is for crap. I have for 13...count em 13 engagement rings in the last year and a half and all of them have been fakeys. Real gold on some of the bands...just big fake rocks.

If the main diamond has 4 prongs........98% chance it is fake.......and 50% chance gold plated.

Hey Dig NICE. Like you said those look old. As far as those engagement rings being fake.... man whats that say about those guys handing them out? The word cheap comes to mind. Maybe thats why they ummmm lost them. How did you get the crust off them? I found an old one the other day the darn thing fell apart when i tumbled it. It was like 3 parts.... 2 brass outer sandwiching a copper inner.... i think it was then gold dipped and had an emerald like stone. But JUNK now. Gold is gold.... keep digging and selling.
