Costa Rican Pictures

Mary and I vacationed in Costa Rica a few years ago and I thought some might want to see some critter shots I took there
The first is a lizard I happened to see<img src="http://www.findmall.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10242/CRLIZARD.jpg" alt="" />
The next three are of Poison Arrow Frogs I was lucky enough to spy. They are rather small, about the size your thumb pad but beautiful.....<img src="http://www.findmall.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10242/frog3.jpg" alt="" />
<img src="http://www.findmall.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10242/frog2.jpg" alt="" /><img src="http://www.findmall.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10242/frog1.jpg" alt="" />

I really like the rich colors that you get in your pictures. Saturated but not overly saturated. Is the green and black frog poisionus like the red frog.?
Later, Frank EastBay

I understand there are a number of different frogs that are poisonous and they all look like jewels

Those are some beauties Royal, I just hope Mary was covering your back when you took them. Looks like a good place for something to sneak up on you and eat you. <img src="/metal/html/wink.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=";)">

How did the native hunters eat their game? Seems to me they gotta be very careful, or have some way to neutralize the poison.
fod:)
