Cost of 705 going up?

I just got off the phone with a Kellyco salesperson. He told me all 705's are on back order and Minelab is raising the price to $800+. Nice huh?

Glad I got mine on CL. I got the gold pack and 6 inch for $475 !! The detector was like new and also came with a Minelab bag and a set of DetectorPro headphones !!! Looks like my deal just keeps getting better and better !!!!!!

I have talked to several dealers and never heard that. In fact the prices that were quoted to me we're way below msrp.

I paid 595 for my 705 off ebay w/ 10 1/2 DD coil I made that bad at 2:15 AM. PAYS TO STAY UP LATE.

Somebody on this site said that would happen the first week of January this year. Prompted me to buy a week or two quicker--BUT it never happened.

Seems to me they should go down over time, like garrett acc and such do. The ace 250 still rings in at $212 at kellyco. I like that garrett stays reasonable on all there machines.

Hopefully Minelab will follow similar footsteps, but I dought it. ( Just look at how all the xterra coils went up in price at the beginning of the year!)

A friend just bought a 705 new from one of the sponsors for around $650, $800+ is outrageous!
