Cortes vs. Tejon

I am a dedicated relic hunter and have found the Tejon to be a super relic machine. Lately it has been messing up a bit and needs to be sent back to the factory but before I send it I bought a Cortes as a back up machine.

I took the Cortes out relic hunting yesterday and made some fine but shallow finds. I took it to a field where I found a few minnie balls and lots of shredded aluminum cans. I was shocked, the Cortes was silent for most of my search. Now I know the cans are there, and I did find a few shreds, but not many. Previously, I was digging a lot of holes with the Tejon. I was hunting with the discriminator turned all the way counter-clockwise, into iron and this machine should have picked up everything.

I am not sure about the Cortes, but love Tesoro.

meaning that when the Discriminate level is set at 'minimum" it will respond to ALL metals, ferrous and non-ferrous.
