CORTES or WHITES MXT??

If you owned both detectors and had to make a choice to keep only one of them, which one would you choose? And why??

Given those choices & considering the way I hunt it would be the MXT cause of good auto ground balance, lock or manual, mild ground wouldn't be so important.
Also at least on my machines the target readout was more solid on the MXT.
If you want deepies, the MXT is a little deeper.
I now have a Tejon & Eldorado to replace those two machines, not that I find a lot more but it's more fun, especially the Tejon.
Good luck in what ever you choose........jim

The ground is pretty good here, reads about 50 on the MXT. The Cortes seems to go pretty deep here, maybe a bit deeper than the MXT. Cortes is much quieter than the MXT. Seem to find the same amount of stuff using either one. Really like the MXT.
Going to keep both, keep the Cortes as a back up unless by moving to the South--Georgia, in the fall, the Cortes falls short.
The thing that bugs me about the MXT is it is not balanced properly with the 6x9 DD coil (not a problem if using the stock coil). The coil wants to float upwards off the ground, you need a lot of wrist power to keep it down. I did manage to solve this problem somewhat by adding lead weight about 5" up the inside of the lower shaft. Now it feels a tad heavy to swing..........
