Cortes in all metal

Malox

New member
Hi all,
My Cortes in all metal doesn't act right to me. The threshold sound pulses and is not steady, like its picking up R/F. (but its not) With the 5 3/4 coil it is better, more adjustable but still pulses. Is the pulsing sound normal?
Thanks,
Jim
PS no cell phone on me, tried at many different locations.

The threshold often pulses a bit on several of my detectors, especially if it is set quite low and it does vary a bit depending on which coil I use. Clears up considerably if I set the volume (turn the threshold up) a bit. I haven't found it to be a problem especially, but don't know just how much pulsing you are experiencing. Mine definitely seem to respond to any electrical fields in the area and are mujch smoother when out in the boonies.` If it's really excessive, you may need to call Tesoro.

I honestly don't use all metal mode much but mine pulses or sort of chatters a little too (set correctly according to manual), the few times I did was in the woods at a turn of century swimming hole, in a clean environment (without power lines and very little metallic junk) the sensitivity was surprising and the chatter was still there but could be adjusted out with threshold. It may be a fault of mine but I love to hunt in disc. mode.
