Cortes Hunt

Went hunting with my Cortes this afternoon in a highly unlikely place. An old House right behind my House that I have hunted many times before with several Detectors. I found several Clad coins and the first Silver turned out to be a 1949 Rosie Dime. I was hunting with Sensativity on 10 Dis on Foil and Narrow Notch. I got a nonrepeating signal with a TID of 83. I turned off Nar notch and it hit every swing. The meter read 8 inches. The next good find was a Gold Colored 13 year Safe Driving Award. It also hit in the 80s TID. The next was a 1942 Silver Quarter that hit so hard I almost thought it was a buried can. It is so dry here I am surprised I found anything much less deep silver.

NICE finds with the Cortes. Glad to hear it is working to your advantage. How long have you been using it?

...That's a nice pair of silvers, but the driving award pin is the bomb, it looks like gold and an old one too. Congratz:thumbup:

With the Deleon that the wife and I use, it hits on quarters really hard, so I know what you mean about sounding like a squashed aluminum can.

those are some great finds, shure beats shotgun shells

Not been using it real long maybe a year but my hunting is limited. The Cortes is like any other Detector, it takes a while to really figure out and get used to.
