Cortes GB question

Active member
Does one have to manual GB the Cortes in All Metal before switching to Disc. Mode?
Or is it only a Fixed GB in Disc Mode? Thinking about getting one but not if it's only
Fixed GB in Disc Mode.

The motion Discriminate mode relies on an internally preset GB. They are not tied together.

There have been some Tesoro models that I really like and have performed well for me in a variety of applications, but I don't care for the Cort

But does the TID, and SUM and other features still work properly while in All Metal at least?
I could live with that!

Ah, screw it! I'll just get a couple of new coils for my Bandido!

But many guys will often use the all metal mode to pinpoint, or get a stronger fix on a deep target. The All Metal mode is deeper than the Disc mode, and often, when I would get a faint signal, or an audio that wouldnt even trigger the ID screen, I would switch over to all metal to "check" the target. You still get ID numbers in all metal and there were many a time when I would be able ID deeper targets in the All Metal mode that didnt show as being "diggable" in Disc. If you dont switch back forth between Disc and All Metal mode you dont need to GB your machine.
