CORS & NEL coil questions

pinenut

New member
Hey folks, I just bought a CORS "FORTUNE" to try out on my 5 pin Tesoros. Curious if there are any significant differences between CORS and NEL, and what you all think of their quality and performance.
Any Tesoro people using the CORS FORTUNE, or the NEL equivalent called the "SHARPSHOOTER"?

Have one on my Shadow X2 the NEL sharpshooter and I will say it separates good and has very good depth . Does it perform better thaan the stock 7 inch coil that came with the x2 I don't think so but one is a concentric and the other a DD its hard to beat the super 7 coil under any conditions but I do believe the DD coil works great in masking situations JMHO

Cors and Nel are both made by the same company. Two different names for marketing reasons.

Thanks, guys. I like both concentrics and DD's, depending on where I'll be digging. Over at the local parks I could use either, but prefer a small concentric there; just easier to pinpoint with. Everwhere else up here, a DD is practically a must. Soil is constantly changing every few feet and the DD is much smoother. Lots of small hot rocks in places, and the DD isn't bothered by them as much. Things change from pine needles or leaves a foot or more deep, to red, rocky stuff, to spots with black hot rocks all over... And metallic trash everywhere.
Hoping that my CORS "Fortune" will be a good one. ^_^
