I hunted for a couple of hours this afternoon at the old homestead in the woods. This place just keeps on giving.

My first two eagle buttons. Fairly rare in AZ. I have to do some research to date them (do you know anything about them?). Other items from this site date to the later 1800s.

VERY trashy.

Settings- DI3, Sens. 85, ID Mask 10, 11" coil. HH.

Thanks, EI.
They are Civil War Federal Eagle buttons. The "C" stands for Calvary issue.
Headed back later today. HH.

Today's hunt netted another eagle button and some other things. Oddest horse shoe I've ever seen. Couple of .56 Spencer cases and .44 Henry cases and bullets. One of the Henry cases was just laying on the surface.

Today's eagle button is a large coat button in great shape. No coins from this place yet but time will tell.

Same settings as yesterday.

That is an oxen shoe sure sign (like you needed it with those chicken buttons. LOL) that you are on a good old spot. You are killing it there keep at it.

You seem to be doing well and I hope this year of detecting brings you continued success.

I 'Thank You' for the photos, and especially for posting your settings and coil used. I appreciate that.

Guess I need to shop for a small but decent camera to take afield with me.

Thank you, Monte. I appreciate your contributions to the forums as I have learned and continue to learn much from you!

All of my pics are taken with my iPhone. They have incredible cameras and have the ability to shoot video as well.
