Found a ring in the water a couple of days ago. Looks like copper to me. The only mark inside is 1997.

You're best bet is to ask in the beach forum and also the "WhatIzIt" forum, as there seem to be a lot of very "know how to identify" folk that roam those forums.

Nice find by the color in it could be copper and bronze if it was just copper it would of turned green by now in water . Jim

Lots of silver plated rings will loose the plating from rolling around the surf, not sure that happens in the dirt.
