Coolpix 775 EN-EL1 Battery Question

I've had a Coolpix 775 for about 10 months and taken just over 800 pictures. I believe I've charged the EN-EL1 battery about 7 or 8 times, but now it discharges completely (just sitting) in a few days and I'll have to buy a new one. Anyone know if this is about average EN-EL1 battery life? I had expected the battery to last a few years.
 
I have had mine for about a year now and have recharged it at least 20 or more times. No problem whatsoever with it (yet). Don
 
You may want to go to dpreview.com and post that on the Nikon msg board since there are more users over there...
 
...if the new (used) 32 mb SanDisk CF card could have a short in it and could be causing the battery to drain. I didn't have the problem until I got that card. Hmmmm.
