Coolpix 775 and Compact Flash Questions

Which brand of Compact Flash cards will (or won't) work with the Nikon Coolpix 775 and a SanDisk card reader? Also which 32mb SanDisk card in the picture is older? Thanks -- Bob

I don't know of any reason why they both will not work. Also I've only see the card on the left...

I have been using the Nikon 8mb Compact Flash card that came with the Coolpix 775, but I need just a little bit more memory. For my purposes a 32mb (maybe a 64mb) will do fine. I seem to remember reading that some brands don't work with my camera and SanDisk card reader. Should I avoid any of the following brands? Microtech, Verbatim, Fujifilm, Lexar, Centon, Memorex, Kodak, PNY, Canon? The picture of two SanDisk 32mb cards is just to show the two diferent cards I've seen available. I just wonder if one or the other is no longer being made (older). I assume the one on the right is a newer version and if I decide to buy a SanDisk card I'd like to buy the newest one. Thanks again -- Bob

I've only seen the Sandisk card on the right. I've had a couple Sandisk cards be bad right out the box. So far my 1 gig Sandisk card has been holding up.
The only other card that I've had experience with is Lexar. They are a very good card...

I don't know if this helps, but I use a 64mb sandisk card with my Coolpix 885. It is similar to the pic of the 32mb card on the right. It is just a little different in the logo to distinguish it from the 32, I'm sure. I am certain it is compatible with yours and should work just fine with the sandisk card reader.

In passing, I use the 8 mb card that came with the camera, and bought a Lexmark 96 mb card to take to Hawaii. I also use the sandisk reader and don't have any problems with either card.
