What is your coolest non-detected find while you were digging a signal.

mine were marbles and a Duke U. gold ball

I've dug quite a few marbles over the year's myself, and love finding them. Over my 37 year's of detectoring I have found a number of "surprises" other then the initial signal I was after. Many I can no longer recall, but a couple that do come to mind, one was an old Case tractor watch fob which was kind of neat, and just a few months ago I was retrieving a clad dime hit, checked the hole again and got a mid tone and 55 reading on my F 75. Decided to see what it was and it turned out to be a large 10k men's class ring. That was a "COOL" surprise. Your Duke U gold ball is great surprise, too. HH jim tn

While digging a very loud, deep target near the Susquhanna river here in N.E. Pennsylvania, I found a beautiful knapped flint
spear point. It is shaped just like an arrow point, but it is four (4") long by about three (3") inches wide and is in absolutely
perfect condition. Of course, flint won't give off a signal,so about four (4") inches deeper was a large antique solid brass oar lock, the kind that you just lay the oar into the "U" shaped head. The later locks were attached to the oar with a pin. I wish I knew how to post pics on the forum but I have no idea how to do it. No matter how I try, nothing works for me. HH. Dave.
