I Beat the rain and got out for a bit this morning back to the old house here in Tacoma, I Found this Erickson's Saloon Token it was stuck together with the 1919s wheat penny. Erickson's Saloon and concert hall was in Portland Oregon and took up a whole city block. It was built in 1890 at a cost of 130 thousand dollars and had a 687 ft mahogany bar that took 30 bartenders to man and a $5000 dollar organ. Erickson's was known for its 5 cent beer, 10 cents if you wanted German beer and also for the women of ill repute :wiggle:, I also found this H.C.B. Club pin which turned out to stand for Hot Cereal Breakfast Club it was a premium from Cream of Wheat in the early 30s Happy Hunting to All

Love those old tokens! That saloon toke is a real piece of local history! Did the place burn or is it still standing?

Sheesh, thats some bar! A guy could build a boat out of it! "Hot Cereal Breakfast Club" is interesting too...thats a good name for a metal detecting group!...

Or maybe "Cold Liquid Lunch Bunch" is more apropos.:beers:
Mud

I second that motion :beers: lol

William in the early 1900's there was a fire and he brought in house boats on the river to keep the business going they rebuilt it and it was running into the 20s the building is still there the article I found said they were renovating it and making the upstairs into apartments

I love to find tokens, but I haven't found any that cool yet. Congrats man!
