Cool Relics need some help with identification

Found these at a homestead site dating back to 1918. I've identified the ring piece as a Heiser Saddle Company 1880-1920s but not sure what it was used for. Flank cinch maybe? I seen several pictures but have not spotted this piece on any saddles. Any help would be appreciated.
The Spanish medal/pendant is a cool find. Seen several on the net but nothing similar to identify a year of when it was made. I know it is remembrance of St.Ignatius of Loyola. Any help would be appreciated.

That iron ring looks to be something that would hang on the wall to be able to hang a jacket or something from, the medal is really cool can you see a date and can you copy onto paper what words are on it and I will try to find what exactly it is but I am 95% sure its some type of religious medal

The religious medal has this on it: (front side) Sanct. Natius De Loyola Fudator Soc. Jesu. (Back side) Recuerdo De La Santa Mision There is no date of any kind on it.

The medal seems to be Spanish in origin. It references Saint Ignatius Loyola Society of Jesus. More info can be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Society_of_Jesus
I could locate no modern day (1960's to date) medals that were identical to the one you found, so, I believe the one you found may be older. St. Ignatius dates back to the early 1500's and has had an order of Jesuit priests that have varied in number to a present day total of just under 20,000 counting the priests, friars, capuchins, conventionals, etc.

Is your brain bleeding yet?
