I took my daughter to the park in town and when i got there, there were two guys metal detecting. One had a new ATPro and the other an Omega 8000. We talked a bit and scanned and compared targets and they left. I made my rounds around the park and came back to where they were when they left I got a 12-46 at 4 inches.. I thought yeah probably trash if they didn't dig it... Lol yeah right...

It is a Centennial medallion from 1873 to 1973 for Durant, Ok. Says Queen of the Three Valleys 100 years Gateway To Fun Country. Needless to say a place is never searched out... ;D

Now come on, the reason we didn't dig it is because we quit to talk to you.....lol

It was good to see another detector and compare notes.

Lol well can't say I'm sorry but can believe that big coin has stayed unfound for so long. Makes you wonder what else is out there...

That's a really cool, unique find. Congratulations on the medallion, including your Daughter in the activity's and meeting some fellow treasure hunters. Sounds like a good day.
