Cool finds at our last club hunt.

Been a while since I have posted anything, but with bad weather and me not feeling that good I just haven't been out much. We had our club hunt at another well pounded to death park last Sat and I know it's old news about detecting places that just don't seem to give up much of anything anymore. I was a little reluctant to even go, but I needed to get out and get some of this cabin fever out of my system. After about two hours and getting tired of the snails passing me up I finally got a fairly good signal. Dug my plug and was rewarded with a nice rusty old nail.:ranting: Put my plug back and ran my coil over it again and still got a nice signal and after a little more digging I finally pulled out a 37 merc. Nothing to brag about and not even worth posting a picture of it. I started out using my 6" Excelerator coil hoping it might sniff out something between all the crappy signals and I was happy with at least a merc. After our lunch break I went back to my Pro coil and started digging some crappy signals and ended up with a vintage battle ship monopoly game piece. My other find was some kind of locket that has what appears to be some kind of oriental designs on it, but I'm not sure and maybe some of you fellows might be able to tell what it is. After I got home I cleaned up that locket which I think is made out of copper and didn't know it was a locket until I discovered that it opens up. Well, I opened it up and there was a little piece of rolled up paper inside with some other foreign type of lettering on it.I unrolled it and someone had handwritten "Thy will be done". Now I'm thinking it could be some kind of religious locket. Not a very successful hunt, but it was nice to do some digging again. My buddy Lee managed to sniff out a couple of wheaties and a no date buffalo nickel, so I didn't have to listen to him crying all the way home.:clapping: Thanks for looking fellows and HH to all of you who are able to get out.

Nice job, Eddie -- glad you got to get some of that "cabin fever" worked out, and even got a few keepers to boot! I found a battleship like that awhile back! Nice locket, strange that there is something in it; nice job on the Merc, too.

Nice finds Eddie! I know what you mean about not feeling good. I didn't hunt very much the last half of 2011 myself, but doing much better this year and making some good finds too! Good to hear from you!

Cool find Eddie. I need to get on here more.
