Thanks for sharing that. I might try that instead of paying $25 for four pieces of rubber that should already be installed on a new Sovereign to keep it from going kaput in 6 months.

I dont know on that one as it may make it even worst as it is not sealed and with it not tight on the shaft itself it will hold water and dirt even more and run into the switches even more. If you heat the heat shrink so it is tight on the shaft and seal it so nothing can get in it will work, but will you be able to flick the switch?

I was wondering if the heat shrink makes the switch stiffer to operate. If not a small bit of flexible sealant like tub silicone caulking might seal it.
