Converting White's GMT to chest or hip mount

I did an article years ago which has finally found a permanent resting place HERE which shows how to convert a White's GMT to hip or chest mount. Not something many people need to do but if nothing else you get to see lots of pictures of the guts of the detector!

Wow, good job Steve. I too was very disappointed when Whites went to the different box. I was hoping they could put the TDI SL into that old box so it too could be chest mounted, but no. Still, the SL could be chest mounted much easier than the GMT. But, I wouldn't want to get into all that electronics inside the box like you did. I would mess something up for sure.

After a week at Ganes creek in 2005,, my neck was killing me from looking down constantly at the MXT meter.
Sure would love to have a video output to an LCD meter I could mount on the brim of a baseball hat instead?
Is this possible? Maybe a small CCD camera could be mounted to view the meter and video out to a tiny liteweight screen mounted on the baseball hat?
Stiff necks are no fun at 50+ years old especially while scrambling around rock piles with bad knees too.
