Control Box...

I have a damaged upper pole, control box sits on. Can I unscrew and take the box off or do I have to go inside the box to do this...

Which detector model are you talking about, some more specific info would get you a better response i would think.

Would Help On My Part...I have the Eldorado UMax...

FYI - the internal nut that the screw goes into fits into a slot in the control box and may be able to fall out if you turn the box upside down while it is unscrewed.

When you take it off hold the box still and take out the screw. Then without moving the box remove the pole and put the screw back in without the pole. Just finger thread it in a few turns to keep the nut in place, dont thread it in too far or it may hit something on the inside. If you dont do this the nut may fall out of the internal slot and you will have to open the box to get it back in place. If that happens its not really that hard to do.
