I cleaned out my beach detecting change finds coffee can recently in order to pay off a wager made on a football game without having to go hungry for a day or so. (I was really counting on Elson to pay off his wagers lost to me, so I could afford to pay off on my bet, but I heard from Miss Betty that Elson has been grounded and his "walking around money" confiscated after she put a headlock & whomping on him.)
Here is a photo of the nickles, dimes, and quarters that were in the can. I don't have a photo of the pennies. It wouldn't be fair to include them in the photo .... because some of them are missing.
2. One entry per person.
3. The first person to correctly guess both the weight and value of the money in the following photo will win a brand new White's Bullseye pinpointer. The weight guess must be in 1/10 of a pound if you desire to guess the weight in partial pounds.
4. If no one correctly guesses the weight and value of the money in the photo, I'll give a personally dug Civil War 3-ring bullet to the person making the closest guess of the weight of the coins, and to the person making the closest guess to the value of the coins.
5. The contest ends Saturday, October 28, 2006 at 11:59 PM.
Hint: The coins are in an 8" strainer.
